A wonderful day/evening had a the Phil Jones Solo Bass Competiotn & Bass Expo here in Wales! Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who came to wach, take part & work the event. Big shoutout to quite a few of my students, friends from close & afar.

Here is the first of a series of 5 tracks recorded at a live recording session at Northhouse Studios.

Playing through the Coda of my bands track Home. Using the same equipment as I did in the studio. Overwater P5, P Pickup in active mode with a slight treble boost & tone rolled back slightly. Straight into a Noble Bass Pre & into Logic. Strung with La Bella Deep Talking’ Flats Phill. Bass Player, Bandleader, Music Educator. On the 5th September this year I'll hopefully be taking part in the Phil Jones Solo Bass Competition being held in Penarth, South Wales (not too far from where I live)

Latest Charlie J track is out today! Bass by me 🎸 I used my "66" P Bass with LaBella Depp Talkin' Flatwound strings and striaght into Logic Pro X with a very basic B15 amp sim and FET compression.
