A wonderful day/evening had a the Phil Jones Solo Bass Competiotn & Bass Expo here in Wales! Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who came to wach, take part & work the event. Big shoutout to quite a few of my students, friends from close & afar.

Also a massive thank you to Phil himself, Michael, David, Dave & Yuri.

I had a fantastic time taking part in the sontest (goingfirst!) and hearing, watching and admiring every single entrant playing some amazing compostitions.

Great to meet up and help Chris May of Overwater Basses with the display & product demos of so many amazing new builds from Overwater. I also had three of my own on display for people to try also!

Another shoutout to the friendliest people, Jones Basses, Manton Guitars & Dougal Strings. Great to chat, try out some cool stuff & make new friends!

I really hope this becomes an annual event here in Wales!

A huge congratulations to Phil & Michael for putting this on for us and for every contestant, my frends & the 3 amazing players who placed 1st 2nd & 3rd!
